Not only is Rock Creek Cattle Company one of the most beautiful and diverse tracts ever beheld, but it also happens to be surrounded by the golden splendor of western Montana, between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. For a spectacular drive, try the 63-mile Anaconda-Pintlar Scenic Route. This road loops you through rock-walled canyons, open valleys, along the banks of Georgetown Lake, and past charming Philipsburg, where virtually every downtown building can be found on the National Register of Historic Places. The Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site, the National Park Service’s only historic site dedicated to ranching, is also right next door and is open year-round to visitors.
