WINTER IN MONTANA

If there ever was a place to call a winter wonderland, Montana is it. The peacefulness of the Ranch is even more pronounced during the winter months and it’s a perfect time to explore the Ranch by snowmobile, horseback, snowshoe or cross-country skis.  For the diehard fisherman, the only inconvenience is the occasional ice building up on your rod guides. Outside the ranch there are hundreds of miles of snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing trails through national, state and county forests to discover. Skiers and snowboarders can choose from world-class destination resorts to quaint local ski hills, offering incredible terrain and legendary Montana powder. Rock Creek Cattle Company is also only 45 minutes from Discovery Basin Ski Area, famous for no lift lines and some of the finest powder this side of the Continental Divide
